The New Year’s Resolution to Rule Them All
The New Year’s Resolution
to Rule Them All
With 2018 just around the corner, many people are starting to set their New Year’s resolutions. The most popular ones tend to be about losing weight, saving money, and staying healthy. A list with all of those major changes can easily become intimidating, exhausting and unreasonable. That kind of 2018 New Year’s resolution list makes you more likely to fall off the “new year, new you” bandwagon early in the year. Avoid the embarrassing blunder of admitting defeat by wrapping up all your 2018 New Year’s resolutions into one commitment: Drink more water.
Drink water for beauty benefits
Water is a great way to make your skin look radiant, plus it’s much cheaper than beauty store creams. Staying hydrated will help your skin keep its elasticity and look younger for longer. Water also helps flush the toxins out of your system, which can help prevent acne. Stronger nails and stronger hair are other benefits that been attributed to drinking plenty of water.
Drink water to lose weight
Drinking a glass of water before each meal will help you feel more full faster. You’ll also be more likely to cut down your portion sizes. Often times, when people start snacking and grazing, it’s a sign that they’re dehydrated. Drinking a glass of water can help curb the cravings. Plus, if you’ve always got a drink in hand, filling your water bottle instead of your soda cup will cut back on your sugar and calorie intake. Water also provides an energy boost to keep you moving and motivated during your workouts.
Drink water to stay healthy
Your body is mostly made of water. That means in order to keep your body performing at its maximum level you need to drink plenty of liquids. Dehydration affects your brain function, so drinking water will keep you sharp and keep you focused. Water has been known to help with headaches, constipation, general aches and pains, and a number of other discomforts.
Drink water to save money
If sticking to your budget is a priority for 2018, drink more water. When you eat out at restaurants, skip the soda and order a free, ice water instead. Don’t stock your refrigerator with sugary, expensive drinks. Instead, you’ll save money by reaching for a water glass and keeping a pitcher of fruit infused water in the fridge.
Resolve to drink more water in 2018. Make this the year you finally commit to your New Year’s resolution and see results because of it. Start by keeping a water bottle near your desk and carrying it with you throughout the day. Write down your goals, and then all you have to do is drink up!
